Are you looking for a hotel in Aruba, but don’t know where to start? It’s overwhelming! There’s so many hotels and resorts the fear of missing out kicks in.

Make a bad decision and you might hear it for the rest of your life from your family.

I know the feeling. You’re not the only one having trouble finding a resort in Aruba.

I made this guide to give you basic understanding of the resorts in Aruba and hopefully help you in the planning stage to finding a place to stay, that you won’t regret!

This guide only takes into consideration hotels in the low rise and high rise areas that are on the beach. Of course, there’s plenty of other accommodation on the island, you can research on them.

After reading this guide you will have narrowed down your choice for the best hotel in Aruba for you.

First Consider High Rise & Low Rise Area

A good place to start when narrowing down choices to find the best resort in Aruba for you, is to consider if you want to stay in the high rise or low rise area.

Hotels in the low rise area are located on Eagle Beach. And the hotels in the high rise area are on Palm Beach. Both beaches are part of the same shoreline.

Miles of beach sands…

Do you want to be close to action, nightlife, attraction, watersport, bars, restaurants, shopping malls, movie theaters? If so, consider a hotel in high rise area.

However, if you’re looking to hit the beach most of the day and just relax. After the beach, eat at restaurants, go shopping and get a feel for the nightlife in Aruba without feeling the need to be in the middle of the action consider a hotel in the low rise area.

Transportation between the two areas can be done by taxi, bus or renting a car.

Is there a difference between Palm Beach and Eagle Beach?

The beach at Eagle is wider and more private compared to Palm Beach. It can be very crowded at Palm, but the water here is calmer compared to Eagle Beach.

Eagle beach has palapas which are spaced pretty far apart, compared to Palm Beach.

Palm has more water sports activities and excursions compared to Eagle.

Both beaches may have their differences, but they are equally beautiful and must experience if you’re on the island.

Once you decide between Palm or Eagle beach, you should be closer to finding the best resort in Aruba for you.
