Too Many Great Restaurants

Most people who’ve been to Aruba will tell you it’s not worth staying all inclusive in Aruba, because there’s too many great restaurants on the island.

They are right, there’s over 200 restaurants in Aruba serving spectacular cuisines at different price ranges. But staying all inclusive doesn’t mean you have to only eat and drink at the hotel.

You still have the option for a dinner at a local restaurant.

Is It Worth It, If You Don’t Drink A Lot?

All inclusive in Aruba might not be worth it, if you’re an occasional drinker.

There’s plenty of other ways to get alcohol if you’re not staying all inclusive:

  • You can buy liquor at the duty free shop when you arrive.
  • Or purchase it in the supermarkets
  • Go for drinks during happy hour, special prices or 2 for 1.

If drinks are important to you, it’s going to be practical to go all inclusive. Or possibly risk your wallet to get a hangover, because of the costly bar bill. Drinks costs between $5.00 – $10.00 at the bars near the resort.

All Inclusive in Aruba is Better With Children

If you’re traveling to Aruba with kids, it’s going to be worth it going all inclusive.

It’s not only worth it, it makes your life easier, which makes for a more enjoyable vacation.

Kids can eat all day long, especially if they’re doing beach activities and swimming in the pool.

You don’t need to worry about leaving the pool to take out your wallet every time they get hungry.

Travelling With A Large Group Can Be Expensive

It can get very expensive when you’re traveling with a large group in Aruba.

Consider the high costs for transportation to off property restaurants if you’re not planning rent minivans.

Plus the cost to have a nice dinner, drinks and dessert for a large group of people, including kids.

The bill can easily add up to hundreds of dollars, just for one night out. If you don’t see yourself spending all that money, consider going all inclusive.

Is It Cheaper To Go All Inclusive in Aruba?

Whether you drink or eat a lot are key factors when deciding to book the package.

It’s also equally or more important to calculate if it makes sense financially.

Before you make a decision, price out your all inclusive package, and compare it to what you think you will spend in Aruba for food and drinks (and other services included in your package).

You might find out that booking all inclusive compared to paying for everything separately is so close in price that it makes sense to go all inclusive. Now it’s up to you to make a choice based on your personal preferences.

Depending where you’re flying in from, your all inclusive package can be priced at a higher rate. But if the amount of money you’re going to spend during your vacation is at a lower price point than all inclusive, why pay more if you don’t have to.

Unless money is no issue, than why not?

If this is the case you can use all inclusive to enjoy the parts of it you like, and you can eat out, drink, and experience the island when you want – the best of both worlds!

All Inclusive Resorts in Aruba

There are a lot of resorts on the island, but not all of them are all inclusive. Some of them only offer certain all inclusive options. Here are the resorts that have all inclusive, and options.

  • Divi Aruba All Inclusive
  • Divi Dutch Village All Inclusive Beach Resort
  • Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive
  • RIU Palace Aruba
  • RIU Palace Antillas Adults Only
  • Holiday Inn Resort Aruba Beach Resort & Casino All Inclusive
  • Manchebo Beach Resort
  • Marriott Stellaris
  • Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino All Inclusive

What To Look For In All Inclusive Packages

All inclusive can be a misnomer, because some packages can provide goods and services that you might not care for, so the value might not be as good as it sounds.

There’s a lot of things to look for in all inclusive packages.

Are you going for the drinks? Ask if the resort has top shelf liquor? If not how much do you need to pay extra?

Are non-motorized water sports included in the package?

Does the room have a mini-bar? Is room service available 24 hours?

Can you eat everything on the menu? Are there charges for certain items on the menu?

Are transfers to and from the hotel included?

Looking into what’s not included in your all package, might surprise you by saving money.

Should I Do All Inclusive in Aruba?

If it’s your first time on the island, and you want to play it safe – go all inclusive if you can afford it.

After all, your on vacation, you don’t want to be watching every penny you spend, and you certainly don’t want to go over your budget.

But if paying for it all separately is cheaper, you can also have the time of your life if you research for deals and budget correctly.

There’s couples that spend less than $100.00 a day in Aruba, and enjoy their vacation. For families this amount can be a higher, but still affordable if you do your homework and plan ahead.
